The beef patties are good, nice flavour and relatively flaky, but they do not always have them ready. The food is good depending on the time you go. When it is fresh out the kitchen the rice is soft and moist, but stuff like fried chicken with sauce get soggy when sitting in the steam table too long, but the advantage is you served quickly. The inside is dark and has this empty space in the middle where you would expect tables, there are also couches and a coffee table near the front which is weird. There is a small makeshift bar at the counter. Overall the food tastes like a good home cooked meal, and I would recommend the beef patties if you don't really care about interior looks but like good food.
Janet is cooking up a storm!!. Awesome cuisine with hearty caribbean flavours. Host and cook Janet hails from Jamaica and her family run restaurant is nutten short of spiciness this side of heaven. I have tried almost everything there over the last two years... from her well stocked bar and her sizzling kitchen. The curry goat with beans and rice is my favorite but then again so is the fried fish and the ackee and saltfish. ..amazing party place too..the energy in there is revitalizing. If you are homesick from the tropics or just wanting to live large..step into the SPOTLIGHT. Do not forget to ask for the scotch bonnet pepper sauce..straight from Jamaica with one wing in the fire! Yes MAN!
